South Africa is the southernmost country on the continent of Africa. It is well known for its vast landforms and its rich natural beauty and cultural diversity. Not only are there 20,000 different species of plants native to South Africa, this diversity translates over to the human population. There are many different languages that the people of South Africa speak; including, but not limited to Afrikaans, Xhosa, and Zulu. South Africa’s economy is mainly based on manufacturing, where it has seen large growth over the past few decades. There are also many diamond mines where many of the world’s diamonds are exported from. Though South Africa may be economically stable, there are still many economically displaced communities, with many underserved children who are not getting the right education from their schools, which means that they cannot be successful in the future.
UN Sustainable Development Goal:
Our goals for providing not only educational equality directly aligns with the UN’s sustainable development goals. We at Strive2Thrive Edu are proud to say that we provide high quality educational/vocational tutoring for underserved orphans. These orphans are also not receiving the proper English literacy skills from their schools, which means that our highly qualified tutors provide that for them. This partnership that we have with the children’s home in South Africa, and our service to the underserved communities directly corresponds to UN sustainable development goals 4 and 17. With this service to communities, Strive2Thrive Edu effectively contributes to the closing of the socio-economic gap that exists, not only in South Africa, but in other third world countries around the world (UN sustainable development goal 17).
